First of all let us devote our thanks to Allah SWT who has given us time, chance and opportunity. So we can attend this nice competition. Salawat and Salam, let us send to the great, Muhammad SAW who has bought us from uneducated life to educated one.
Ladies and gentlemen. On this occasion, I would like to deliver my speech about reforestation. In here I state that Reforestation is truly important for our future life. Reforestation is the restocking of existing forest and woodland which have been depleted. So it means that reforestation is aim to recover the forest. The reestablishment of forest by tree planting with several species and they can build dead organic matter into soil over time. It is known that forest has many functions not only for human life but also for any creature in this world.
Nowadays, there are so many forests had been destruction. Many irresponsible men took the tree for their own benefit. Besides that there also many people burn the forest for their home and plantation. This makes forest bold and creates many bad effects not only for those men but also for innocent people. For example flood, landslide, erosion, hot climate and global warming.
My audiences, There are many functions or good advantages of reforestation. Firstly, Reforestation can be used to improve the quality of human life by soaking up pollution and dust from the air. The trees of the forests absorb carbon dioxide and relieve oxygen. It produces clean air for its environment. Beside that the root of the tree will absorb rain in order to prevent flood landslide. When the rains falls the leaves of trees hold the water that falls to the ground. Some of the water evaporates and absorbed by the stems and leaves of the tree so that the soil has time to process infiltration. The most important one, the tree can filter and clean the dirty air becomes the fresh one. In addition, the wood also makes the hot weather reduce so it can prevent global warming as the main issue in this world nowadays. They mitigate global warming since the forest facilitates biosequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Secondly, the reforestation can rebuild natural habitats and ecosystem. The destruction of forest causes the fauna that live in the forest suffer of food so they will go and find something to eat even entering the village. They destroy the people and their cattle. On the other hand, the flora becomes extinct. There are so many native species of flora has been extinct in our country. It is caused by illegal logging, forest fire and plantation. So, reforestation need for recovery of accidentally destroyed forests and keep fauna and flora species.
In conclusion, reforestation is really important for human life. The campaign to prevent the conservation of forest should be support especially the campaign to plant one tree for one man. Go green and green peace should be programmed and done well. It must be remembered that the forest today is not only for us but also for our children and our descendant. As a student, we should participate in preventing our forest with planting tree in our school or environment. Then do not smoke and do not throw rubbish anywhere we like.
